Let me give abit more info here guys. I have a Jet modified Viper chassis. The wheelbases are as wheels47 indicated. But the set up sheet says to measure from the motor plate back to the front of the rearend 70 1/2 inches or 72 to the center. Then make the left side 3/8 of and inch LONGER. The caster is set at 5 degrees on the right side and 2 degrees on the left. Dad seems to think this is wrong......Im just going by 4 time IMCA national champion Johnny Saathoff setup sheets.

measure the zerk fitting in the lower balljoint when the lower arm in at ride height, hang and nut on a string off the rearend hanging off the front or rear, set the string say 3-4 inches inboard of the rear hubs then measure from the string hanging to the lower zerk fitting on both sides this will give you the wheel base in leangth then cross measure the lr string to the rf zerk then the other side this measure measurement will give you the offset of the rearend in the chassis.

autoshop-- thanks for the help. We will try this way of measuring.
But still on a banked oval should the left side wheelbase be a bit shorter than the right side. This would seem better to me.. help needed here.. thx wheels

Sharp tight corners maybe I run left side longer by 1/8" on 3/8 mile with egg shape corners
