They usually mount the spring in front on the left to achieve a LR gain under throttle as the rear end indexes. It basically makes the car think it has more cross when you go to the throttle, but when you go to the brake, you get the benefit of not having to have that much cross in the car so it will help you be tighter getting into the corner.
