we can't seem to get the forward bite we need on dry slick. the car is a 2 link wish-bone type on birdcages with a long 5th coil. we found this week the new torque arm was different than the old one and we only had 4 deg pinion angle. we upped that to 7 deg now but do we go softer on the 5th coil to let the rear end wrap more or do we go stiffer to keep pinion angle in it. we have a 42" torque arm with a 175# spring. the car is really good going in and around but gets throttle loose bad comming off. lots of throttle pedal movement but still can't feather it enough. thanks.

I would not change the 5th arm spring rate until you see how much travel your getting with your current setup we always try for between 2 1/2" - 3" of travel. As for the car being loose or feeling like its skating on the rear tires when your coming off you may have to stiff of spring rate in the rear? Do you know what rate your rear springs are?
