i have a home built chassis . i know thats my first strike. but anyway back to the question . Is a large split between front spings a advantage at any time?

I know alot of people that swear by a real soft lf spring on a high bank track, but i haven't seen a noticable improvement on a dirt car, but there is some merit to the theory. Most dirt cars run well 50-100lbs softer on lf.

I think alot of it has to do with driver preference anf feel. I have limited late model with a stock stub and my driver likes a 900 LF and 1450 RF. Have tried other combos but driver is not comfortable. Seems to be working though, we are in top five in points at two different tracks.

I used to run a 100# split on my modified, I have a new car and I am gonna try runnin even rate springs in the front of it. The fast guys here are doin it and they are FAST!!!! Its worth a try!
