On a Z/4-bar car, lr spring in front or behind with the birdcage floating? Hoosier tires and roller motors.

Any input appreciated.

It really depends on the track conditions, typically the spring is mounted clamped on the front if there is still grip in the track, because the setup depends upon the wrap of the rearend to add wedge under accel.
When the track gets slick the lr is usually mounted to the back of the birdcage, this setup adds wedge dependant upon body roll. Lr behind is more sensitive to bar length/angles than the clamped in front setup and also gets pretty erratic on a rough track, but it works well on a super slick smooth track.
