The only problem I've had was dirt holding the gear, causing it to hang up.

And while its turning over you can watch the reverse gear move back and forth really fast on the flywheel, some times causing it to kick out. A time or two when it turns over enough to start it trys to stay engaged. We have 2 gauge wire running to the starter. We have had the flywheel shimed away from the reverse gear anywhere from .135 to .065 . It doesn't seem to change much of anything. Any ideas.
