I'm looking at buying a bert and was wondering what the reports are on the magnesium version....can it mount to an aluminum housing without some sort of reaction taking place?..any other problems?...for the extra $100 it is well worth the 10 lbs you save or not? thanks

It wont hurt to mount it in alum bellhousing. As far as the $100 for ten pounds it depends. If you run a min weight and have to add lead then probably not since a tranny is mounted low and near the polar moment in the car. Polar moment is the place in a car where if you add weight it distribute to all wheels equally. ( a fifty dollar word I dont get to use offen) If you dont have a weight limit then its not a bad price to pay for ten pounds it usually cost way more than $10 a pound when you look at thing like alum driveshaft light weight calipers and hubs to save that much weight. Either way the berts hold there value better than most items you can buy.
