If so where are they locating the transponders on the Mods?

Will they be going to that at the grove? There was talk a few years ago about doing this but with the cost of $300 per racecar for the transponder. We have the rules meeting on the 16 so ill let ya know if they are talking about it up this way again.

We run them on our South West Series Cars when we run with the Cup or Busch cars. Locate them on the right rear frame rail, where it kicks up behind the tire. Never had a problem, they work great, but Nascar still requires a scorer be used as back up.

Not sure if your interested but i remember looking at a web site that advertises lap scoring kit, it was www.a-metrics.com, look under race management systems. The transponders are resonably priced at about $160 i think but i don't know how good it is as i don't know anyone that has used it.Hope this might help.
Marty.
