Author Topic:   Software for Race Teams
posted January 21, 2002 10:29 PM
I'm a software developer (and dirt racing fan) who is in the process of building an affordable database program that race teams can use to store race set up information. (I've got to have something to do in the winter!) The idea is to build a reasonably powerful and easy to use piece of software at an affordable price.

The expertise I'm lacking is knowing what type of information teams need in such a program. What I've developed to date is based on my (very) limited knowledge and from studying other software in the field.

In short, I'm looking for 2-3 teams who would be willing to provide input into this program and "beta test" it. In return, teams would receive a copy of the program, and any subsqequent upgrades.

If you're interested, please contact me at Serious inquiries only please!!

Why be sorry, bud? If there was only one race car on the track, it wouldn't be much of a race, would it.

Actually, I'm looking at this as a fun project as much as anything. I'm certainly not expecting to get rich from it!

There might be some opportunities for you. I accepted the first 5 people to respond to my post, but only 1 has offered any feedback so far. If you sent me an e-mail, I saved it and will contact you in the order received if I have any more openings for testors. Thanks again for your interest. The project is coming along nicely so far.
