We had a discusion at the track about which side to toe out on (1/16 - 1/8). An older racer explained it as weather the car is pushed to the inside or pulled. He said to run LF toe out because it pulls the car down low.
I always thought to toe the right because it sets the car into ackerman for the cornor sooner.
Now im not sure which is best.
ANY IDEAS??? Jeff?

I run ours out to the rf so that we can have more correction in the turns.....if you go with the left front, it will not turn quite as far to the right. I like all I can get.

Okay, everyone is going to agree on this subject..........LOL
Right side out!
The right tie-rod need to be longer for ackerman........I set my toe by turning the pitman arm toward the right 1/8 inch.....then set both wheels straight ahead..........This is easy if you have turn tables.......if not you will have to try 2-3 time to perfect this little trick on the shop floor........then set the toe from either side............end result is the left side tie-rod should be 1/4 shorter maybe 3/8 depending on driver and race track.
This method also help make the steering feel more positive because the box isn't centered.
This will be the part eveyone will argue about........centering the box, to me it's all driver preferance.........this is the way I prefer to point the car.....Jeff
