I have a new mono leaf car because they work for me so yes they do still work. What kind of chassis is it?

Monoleafs seem to work very well, I just didn't know much about them when I tied them so they didn't work for me. The Afco website has a tech article about mounting leaf springs that you should probably study. Also monoleafs need to be replaced regularly, I think about every six or seven races. Somebody might correct me on that.

My husband races with a 2000 GRS chassis that is a monoleaf car. We have not had any trouble getting our car to hook up at any of the four tracks we have run on this year. Remember to change them fairly often (as needed) as they do lose their arch. We run lightweight (not ultralight) AFCO leafs and they work really well for us!
