I know we are supposed to have working 4 wheel brakes, but is there anyone out there doing this? I used to run 3 wheel on our limited car, but I havent tried it on the McCreary...anyone know?

We ran our car with no RF brake for a couple of years, before we finally were caught.

The car always handled well with no RF, but it was just a crutch for the other problems.

i will usually put a seperate propotioning valve on the rf so the drive can shut it off if he feels he needs to while racing. Its usually a crutch but its something the driver can use if the car isnt right after the race starts.

if you dont want to install brake shut off valves, but want to make rf brake have less
resistance cut away 2/3 of the pad surface
it worked for us.

Jammin, I always ran with 3 wheel brakes. I never could get the car to work, rotate, when I opened up the RF. Made some changes this winter, took the shutoff valve out, and can't seem to notice any difference. The car rotates like I still have 3 wheel brakes. I went through the brake system, new rotors, master cylinders, and bought very good (expensive) brake pads. This seemed to make all the difference. The brake pads are from The Brake Man and are awesome. I was hesitent at first, afraid they'd tear up the rotors in a hurry, but everything seems to be wearing fine. One of my buddies even accused me of still running the 3 wheel brakes last race because I was rotating the car so hard in front of him.
