How Do you go about building your own Ford 9"? Where's the best place to get and install all the hardware and how? Is there a preset guideline where everything goes on the housing? How about a website posting? I originally posted my questions in the susp section, w/ no response. Any help would be appreciated.

#11, What do you want to build.......as far as off-set and width????? and what do you want to use for hubs and rotors? all these come into play when planning to build a rear housing............You can order a AFCO or 3M for around a $850-1000 depending on axles, brakes, and the options.......if you have hubs and drive flanges already and want to build a new housing you can order axle tubes welded up already to go.......just cut to length and weld into your center.....
Tell us what you have and what you need to purchase and we can help you more.

for a floater 9 inch i once priced the componets and unless you buy in bulk the cost is close to what a package is for one already built.

What I have is a bone stock rear, 71 vintage best guess meausment was 62". Do I have to have a floater? Do I have to run things floating? Can my trailing arm's or half leaf brackets be solid? or do they have to float? Why can't I use the factory two link brackets? Are the factory Spring perches useless? This seemed like a great fact. setup, it had two bottom links, one top link (just to the right of center) and a panhard bar. I just want a starter car rear for now, if possible. I can clamp the calipers and then what? yapyapyapyap...
