My new bert is coming in on thursday and i was wondering if anyone that has one can give me some ideas which will help my tranny last long and work well, tips, oil type etc.

run type f atf trans oil change it evevy weekend of racing

Try to remember that the internal clutches are like Honda motorcycle clutches and you should baby it till you get it into high gear. Once you get rolling about 15-20 mph let out the clutch and it should slide right into gear. If there's trouble ahead or your gonna spin be ready to pop it out of gear or you'll stall... Ever notice how many Late Models end up stalled for a minor accident? thats why. When I first installed mine I couldn't get it to shift into high gear so somebody told me to put a little air in the clutch line and it worked and I haven't touched it since. Good luck.
