Can anybody explain how the KSE mandrel installs please?

Does it go completely through your pulley?

i have never used a kse mandrel specifically, but the ones i have used i had to machine the back of the pulley to fit over the lip on the mandrel.

If you plan on running a V-pully to turn the water pump and fan..........install the mandrel in the damper, then install the V-pully.......this needs to be machined out to fit over the mandrel......or you can buy them already machined out. check with your supplier. then cut the aluminum spacer to the proper length, install key into mandrel, install spacer sleeve, install inside guide washer, install gear, install end cap, install bolt with lock tight torque to 70 ft.lbs.

I take it you are using the KSE kit. If so,
this is how it goes together.
You install the mandrel first. You install
it in the balancer with the half moon key.
Then install the v-belt pulley. Next there
should be a small key as long as the
mandrel that is sticking out past the
v-belt pulley. Slide the spacer on first,
then the belt guide, then the HTD pulley,
then the cap w/ the balancer bolt. You
will still need to space the pump toward
the block to get it to line up.
Hope this helps.
