I'll stick with my Afco rebuildables. One thing I do know is that you just don't bolt on a set. Because they are a gas charged shock, some adjustment to your spring rates are required. A buddy of mine bought a set, removed his Pro's and slapped on the Bilstein's. His car went from lightning fast to a fifth place car. After working with spring rates he was able to get it back where it was.

I only use BILSTINS.They work great but the biggest reason is that I can get alot more choices of numbers.

personally i like the bilsteins, with a litlle work. The problem i have found with them is that the gas pressure is too high for use on most dirt cars, but that can be remedied with the help of a good shock tech. The main reason i like the bilsteins is that they don't fade like non-gas charged shocks and there is an almost unlimited valving potential. The key to shocks is having a good relationship with a shock tech and a good working knowledge of the priciples. Shock technology has come a long way in the past 10 years and is now working its way into dirt cars and is an important fine tuning tool. Anyway to answer your question it really depends on what your triing to accomplish, if your looking for a good cost effective shock use the pros or afcos, if you want to a more consistant and a wider range of adjustment at a reasonable cost the bilsteins are the way to go.

one plus for bilsteins is there rebuildable and you can tune your shocks to fit the track conditions ,they really make a big difference on rough or very dirty slick tracks
