lot of guy's give me heck for not having foam
in fuel cell.
over the years iv'e headit turns the alcohol
black and plugs the filters
what do you guys think?????

Over time, it will break down. If I am not mistaken....foam in a cell is supposed to be taken out and replaced every year. It will get nasty if it breaks down....seen one like that...not a pretty picture.

I believe they make a special foam just for alky.

I've seen guys using drain tile tube. It's a product that's used in home construction, buried under ground around the inside of the footings to allow for basement moisture escape. It's a black corrugated tube, about 3" round with holes in 4 sides about every 2" or so. Cut them to length and stand them vertically inside your cell, until there isn't room for any more. Your fuel can't slosh through this stuff, and it won't break down. A lot like the whiffle ball idea, only tubular. I just heard of the idea at the end of last season, so I haven't done it yet, but it's on the list for this spring.
