Does anyone know where I can get a Hurst/Airheart Line Loc valve? According to a Steve Smith book I have you can use it to shut off the right front brake with a toggle switch. But I cannot find it anywhere.

scoot, try summit or jegs. it's called a line-lock, like you said. it's primarily used in drag racing for locking the front brakes during burnouts. drag racers use a button to activate it, although you could wire in a toggle switch. it's a solenoid and is intended for short term use. it may over heat during a long race.

a better way to shut off the RF brake is to use a "ball valve" and locate it where you can easily access it. it doesn't require any voltage and won't overheat. combine the "ball valve" with a proportioning valve and you could adjust the amount of braking power from full pressure to zero.

I just purchased one of the electric ones and have decided to wire it in with the brake light switch. That way I can run a switched "hot" wire to the factory stoplight switch and then on to the brake shut off. I like the idea of a ball valve, but sometimes certain parts need to be driver accessable and...obscure? LOL

Thanks guys,Eljojo where did you get yours? I like the idea of being able to hit the switch when I come off the track if I get teched.

Its aint "really" cheatin. Not supposed to use a brake adjuster. I'm not using one, its totally blocking it off, but still able to use it when needed? Is that cheatin?

techmaster, you'll NEVER be able to catch ALL of the cheaters. if NASCAR can't do it, then you can't either. LOL! what these guys are doing probably isn't cheating. how, EXACTLY, are your rules written regarding the brakes. most say, "must have 4 wheel brakes" and "must slide when inspected". i see it as a creative interpretation of the rules. you go dudes! the racers are usually one step ahead of the "techmasters". LMAO!

personally, i don't like 3-wheeled brakes. in a panic stop situation, you could wind up completely sideways on the straightaway with the whole pack bearing down on you. not fun.
