has anybody tried these shocks before i seen they are being banded at some tracks just wondering if they are proven and if the tracks are just tring to avoid then since they look just like a junk parts store shock when you pull the sticker off. i have to change the rear shocks for the big money races coming up and want the best bang for my buck i have bilsteins now i could try to get by with but the rules say in bold print NO BILSTIEN,PRO,KONI,PENSKI,AFCO. and my tech inspecter knows that they look like even if they are painted and the boot is cut off. he works in the warehouse at midwest motorsports so he handles them everyday. i can handle getting dq'd and losing 75$ but when it's for $500 thats a new motor or a new chassis for next year for me

This really aint a bright idea but it might work i've done it plenty of times and even ran it like it this yr. Go to your local parts house and get the heaviest shocks you can find for the year model of your car. I mean there basically saying the shocks have to be stock and that ***** but i was eligable to run stock shicks 1 night on a half mile and the car never was bouncing around. But my track and your track are different. I know the idea sounds dumb but **** it's only 1 night and i wouldnt wanna get disqualified................

i has gabrial shock on it but they are shot after about 8 nites and those kyb's are the same price car worked fine with those on it but they didn't last and i would like to get something that will hold up because 3 more nites i'm trading my car for a mod and want to pull them off and put them on my enduro car because the guys wants the bilsteins back on it

Save the BILSTIEN shocks and in the rules or in the drivers meeting have they told you all that you cant run the kyb's? Cause if they havent run them anyways. myself I have never heard of the kyb shock. Do you honestly think your shocks are gonna hurt your chance of winning this $500 race? I'd just save the shocks and buy the kyb's if they havent stated anything in the rules about them? do they honetly check your shocks there?

they haven't said anything about them yet here but i have seen a few sets of rules that they have .thats why i was looking into them if they are good enough to make them so they can't run them at some tracks they should be worth the $25 and then some in my opinion. i still run the bilsteins on the front because they realy can't tell unless you pull them off and i have all the numbers filled in but the rears all he has to do is reach up and grab that plastic dust boot and if you cut the boot off that realy gets him to look'n.like i said the shocks i have on the rear now are shot and i just spin the tires coming off the corners and it pushes real bad so i have no choice but to change them and if i can get a good tough shock for that kinda money it's a no brainer just wanted to see if anybody has tried them

Well if it aint stated in the rules that you can't run those shocks I'd use them. If they give you any static about you having them on your car get the rules out and show them that it aint in there. I've done it plenty of times and they'd leave me alone..lol..

KYB is a very reputable shock manufacturer, more designed for aftermarket replacement than racing. They might be a little stiffer than stock, though I have seen some lightet than stock too. They are a pretty well made shock though nonetheless.

I didn't see Carrera in your list. Can you run them? If so, your possibilities are endless.
