I Know this ? has been asked before, but can't find the post. Some racers are planning on going to the PUDUCAH INTER. RACEWAY in KENTUCKY. I'd like to go w/ but don't have a clue what final gear to run in a 355,3spd.,3080lb.,s/s? And is there anything I CAN'T OR CAN run?? I'll call the track but just trying to save some LONG-DISTANCE. HEHEHE
THANKS TERP

i run at a 3/8 with long straights and tight corners. my car weighs 2800 lbs. and i use a 5.29 and turn 6600 with an 11:1 393 ford.

i like to use a taller gear beacause there is more speed potential. you have to be careful picking up the throttle so you don't get the tires spinning. with a taller gear, once you get them spinning its harder to get the car to hook back up.
