what would i be better off doing, buying a quick-steer box and put it on or try finding a better stock gear box, and if so, which gear box is the best? my camaro is too many turns lock to lock. Thanks again guys, it is appreciated!

look around in the classifieds on here or imca.com they have steering quickeners pretty cheap alot of time under $100 you can't get a box for less than that

if you are a good fabricator you can build you own steering quickener out of a timing chain set.......it 2:1 ratio weld the big gear (cam gear) to the steering wheel shaft. then weld the small gear (crank gear) to the shaft going to the steering box. The steering shaft will need to be mounted on a heim under the dash, the mount for the heim will need to be slotted to move side to side to take the slack out of the chain to keep the steering tight in the car. Works very will and for nothing except a extra heim and about 1 hour of fab work.
If you have a regular camaro box that's the same as any old car.....the IROC box is the quicker box. You can also legnthen the pitman and idler arms to speed up the steering or shorten the steering arms on the spindles..........which means using different parts.......that again costs money.
