A buddy of mine gave me a bunch of metric spindles he was throwing out, said they were the "small bearing" ones. Anybody know what outer bearing number these use? Or what year car these come off of?

I've always used the big bearing (BCA-A3) spindles, but couldn't see letting him pitch these.

Thanks.

I beleive they are off like 78 79 and 80 small metric and they went to the bigger outer bearing in around 81 and up. You also have to have the rotors that go with them.

1978--outer bearing has .7500 inside dia.
outer race has 1.7810 outside dia.
outer race width .4200
Bearing Set #A6 - #A2

1979-1981--outer bearing has .8437 inside dia.
outer race has 1.9687 outside dia.
outer race width .5500
Bearing Set #A6 - #A3

1982-1988--outer bearing has .8437 inside dia.
outer race has 1.7810 outside dia.
outer race width .4750
Bearing Set #A6 - #A34 outer METRIC ONLY

Stay away from 1978 ones unless you have a bunch of spares. The others can be used as long as you use the correct hub/rotor.
