I am working on the new Chassis Guide as I have promised. Everyone needs to contibute to this to make it the best it can be. I will be posting scenarios in different classes and need YOUR opinion of what the car needs to help these specific situations. Please contribute to make this guide the best we can make it.

Here is the first scenario for street stocks.

On a dry slick track, in the turns, what can I do with the leaf springs on a street stock to keep it from being loose?

Need as many replies as possible to make this the best it can be!

Jammin, Softer rear springs in general........ Right softer than left.......If I were stuck with the springs and could not fix the problem with other means....I would consider leading the rear
end...........

I appreciate what You are trying to accomplish.....I realize what a tough job it is......... I understand that in each scenario, You are trying to isolate the effect of any one item.......laudable goal......However, as you well know, the effect of making a change depends on where one is to begin with.

So, how about some kind of baseline setup for the scenarios ? Just having a baseline would help the newbies........For example, It's hard to help a guy if he doesn't have his basic weight percents.........

Anyway, Just a thought.........(yes, it hurts me, but I think I'll live...)

Good luck again,

Snowman

Thanks Snowman, this is gonna be a long term deal, but if you guys help, it will make it much better. There are approximately 2000 different combinations in the guide that we have to fill.

dry slick trying to tighten
softer right frt spring
lowering block in right rear (to add wedge or crosswieght)
less stagger frt and/or rear (tightens chassis)
some of what ive found to work hope it helps
