With all the media attention being paid to safety this season. What has everyone done to their cars to improve saftey?
Just looking for some ideas!
This is what I have done so far:
I have added steel plate to my driver side door bars and plan to put some closed cell foam on the inside of the bars. I improved my foot box area and I also added some extra bracing under my seat.

we already had door plates enforced a coulpe years ago for all cars we also have had to pad any bars you could reach. myself i have made no changes i'm very confident with what i had before. one thing you want to rember when you start adding bars here and there it's going to change the handeling of the car also when you make it stiffer and stronger something has to give in a wreck and your body is alot softer than steel tubing. if anything i would add the stuff to the seat itself like the leg, shoulder and head supports

I ran leg supports the year before the local track made them mandatory door plates are required in the figure 8 but i run them on the oval. Im gonna add head supports to my seat, I do recommened running a sternum strap i know that im probably the only one in this area to have one it keeps you from seperating your sternum in a heavy frontal impact Speedway Motors sells them for about $17.95 a very wise investment i think.
