Has anyone ever swapped the stock upper a-arms from one side to the other on a small metric frame? Iíve been told that you lose all caster gain when running them as GM made them. This would involve running the upper mount parallel with the lower. Just wondering. I need to move the uppers anyway and this looked like it could work. Any thoughts?

KW, did you run the upper mounts parallel to the lowers? Did this improve the handling? Thanks for the response. Deed

Hughes, Just trying to get the front end of thc car better. From what I'm told you loose caster as the right front goes into bump, and this takes weight off of the left rear making the car loose/looser. Most around here have moved the upper mount to correct this but they move them only close to parallel w/ the centerline of the car . Look at most race cars with tube uppers and the mounts run parallel to the lower mount pivot points. I was wondering if anyone has done this and if it is worth the trouble. I was also trying to find out if anyone would try to get zero-anti dive or whatever is need for a race car. Deed

D-dude, is that gonna get the castor close enough, so you don't have to move the upper A-arm mounts.

Well guys since I couldn't get any advise on the swap I tried myself to see if it would work. It doesnít. It would work if the upper a-arm at the ball joint were parallel to the shaft. The ball joint keeps binding as if the car was going onto a turn. I could not get the mount parallel with the lowers either, kept binding at the front. I would have to raise the front of the mount. If you could run aftermarket mounts I believe it would work. Sorry but, I tried. Deed
