Want to go with the sleeper image this year. Looking for a real quiet muffler without hurting performance too much. Any suggestions.

Well I think you need to run a two into one to help pull out the gases out of each pipe and it will help you hear what is going on aroud you and concentrate on your driving.

wouldn't a 2 to 1 set-up rob a little more horsepower vs having a muffler for each pipe?

poboy i would think you would lose a few horses trying to force the exaust from all 8 cyls into one pipe i had better luck when i switched from "y" pipe to seperate exaust

Well I have a few questions you need to ask yourself. What type of headers am I running? big tube short headers or small tube long headers? Also what type of RPM range are you running? a short track theat requires a huge torque curve or a long track that needs more horse power? These are all questions you need to know the answers to. A single header will increase torque in the lower to mid-range rpm band. Two mufflers will increase the torque band in the mid to upper RPM Range. Let me know more info and I will try to help you okay.

we had a guy that ran a 2-1 system in our class and now it's not legal to run any thing but duel exaust cause of the torque that he gained with it

Yep, we used to run a Y-pipe from Brzenski, before the IMCA rules outlawed it. The driver seemed to think it made more torque. Dunno for sure, but it quieted the motor pretty good too.

What about the Vortex cones that Dynatech makes? Anybody try them yet?
