I'm going to race street/hobby stock next season and I'm trying to decide if I should build my own car or purchase someone else's. Admittedly, we don't know all the building tricks, but I don't want to end up with someone's junk either. Any advice? Any idea how much it costs to build a competitive street stock?

Thanks for the advice guys. After some consideration I am thinking about spending next season in the pits with an established team and learning everything I can from them first.(and saving up some more money!)

Yes you would be best buying one, but it depends on what you want to learn. I learned a bunch by building mine but I also tied probably twice as much money into by going that route. I am now selling mine and like someone else said in another post.....Im losing money now. You can still learn either way just depends on how you wanna go about it. Best of luck to ya!
