What are your thoughts on running airplane gas? Does it hurt the motor or are there additives that help?

We have run av gas in the past but have added Marvel's Mystery Oil to provide lubrication; we've always heard that the added lubrication was a must.

There have been several articles out as of late stating Avgas is no problem. Circle Tracks current issue has one.

We have run Av gas now for most of this season. The only problem we had was the car ran a little warmer than with Racing Fuel (Turbo Blue) But not enough to cause any trouble at all. We run Champion J8 lawn mower plugs in a set of Dart angle plug heads.Another benefit of Av gas is the MONEY you can save !! We pay over a $1 less a gallon for Av than Turbo Blue. That's just more cash to spend on more useful things that don't get sent out the exhaust. We were able to win a total of 11 features this season with this combo of plugs and gas.
Good Luck

Why did you choose to run lawn mower plugs?
What makes them different?

Thanks,
Kevin
