This is my problem; the brakes work just not enough braking force. The car will stop it just will not make an emergence stop. I like allot of brake just incase I need them. I've bleed and rebleed these brakes to many times to count. This is what I have metric disc up front and metric drums on rear (rules). master cylinder from a 76 Malibu manual front disc / rear drum. stock prop. valve. Any help is appreciated. Deed

Where is your pedal at? Is it at the top...middle..does it feel spongy? Seeing as you have to run drum brakes on the rear go to www.speedway.com or if you have a book and get the racing brake shoes. They are a bit pricy but well worth the money. What you are running into is when you run stock pads they get hot and they only slow the car down.
