I'm in the process of building a street stock and put new springs in the rear.I'm running a 85 Monte. I bought new 11" springs for the rear and it seems like they aren't tall enough. I'm new to building cars and don't know much about the suspension. I bought these at the race shop and they told me it would lower the car. Well when I installed them I had to let the jack almsot all the way down before they seated in, and when I jack the car up they come off their seat. Was wondering if that was ok or do I need to get some kind of spacer for them? Any help would be great. Like I said I'm new so please help. THANKS!!!!!

I set the ride heights on my cars by measuring the distance between the bottom of the frame rail and the top of the control arm on the front, and from the bottom of the frame to the top of the axle tube in the rear. Different tire sizes have no effect on these distances.
For your car I suggest these settings-2 3/4" RF, 2 1/2" LF, 4" RR. I don't worry about the LR because we use this corner to change our cross and LR bite to what we want.
