That would be a G-60 IMCA tire, Good Question, I've not run a sway bar since just after you where born. Maybe someone can give you a good answer.

I used to run one of these cars...I cut the front sway bar off...wanted to have independent suspension where the spring effects were known. If you do run one, the suspension is no longer independent and relies on the sway bar also as spring tension. In most dirt cars, you want to promote roll, a sway bar tends to decrease it....maybe fine for asphalt, but not on dirt.

my two cents.

If you dont transfer at least some weight, you will be loose entering the turns.....The weight transfer will set the car for exit.

Are you allowed to use weight jacks? You get your left rear bite by the amount of weight you jack into that corner. A stiffer spring is also needed on the left rear.

I'm thinking we should leave the sway bar off for now, I think if the track seems to be staying really dry later on this summer we may put it on and see if it will help the car through the turns. Right now I think thats just one more thing that you don't need to worry about at this time, get some laps in and we'll see how your doing against the rest, then we'll now where to go....see ya tommorrow KidRock......RoosterRock

ROOSTER!!! You had me convinced that it might work! Think that I will still try running a softer front set up with the bar. (Just for grins!)

poboy2, I'm still thinking about it. It will only take a few minutes to set it up. I think right now We'll put the new driver out as is, then maybe......My thinking has been more for the modified on the soft front, but I think it just might work here too. Let me know what happens. Good Luck.
