The rules at my track allow these shocks. My question is where is the best place to mount the shock? In front or behind the a-frames? Thanks.

mount the shock on the lower control arm as close to the ball joint as possible. Are you allowed to run tubular upper control arms? If you are, use these to allow the shock to pass through the control arm.You may also have to trim the outside of the spring bucket on the frame for clearance.

We need to know what kind of chassis you are running. I raced a camaro last year and had decent luck with the shocks if front of the a-arms. But the year before I had Really good luck with them in the rear of the A-arms. And I agree with owracer the bottom needs to be mounted as close to the lower ball joint as possible.
