I have a 85 Monte Carlo that I'm building and I'm taking out the 7.5 rear end and putting in a 8.5 from a 1977 Monte. What do I all need to change to make this fit? Please help. Thanks!!!!!!

Busch17, I have not done this myself, but I have a friend who did. I was going to do the same thing but decided not to. He told me that they will bolt in no problem. You will however have to either shorten the upper control arms or drill new holes in them. This will be the easiest to do. Just drill a hole in the end that connects to the rear end. I think he said 1". Measure and make sure. This guy can take a square peg and make it fit in a hole smaller than the peg. The 8.5 is wider so you will need to look at maybe different back space on the rear wheels. Deed

A good choice. You will more than likely have to shorten your driveshaft also.
