BDS, thanks for your help. Have you modified any Q-Jets? If so, what did you do? Thanks again. Deed

Thanks 34, The first thing I did was remove the choke and linkages. I bought the book by Doug Roe and read thru it. Seems like good info. I'm having a hard time finding dril bits in the sizes that he recommends. I was looking for a supplier for jet,rod,etc... BDS gave me some info on edelbrock parts. I went to their web site and their parts are interchangeable with a GM Q-Jet. I was also looking for a starting point for jet and rod sizes. GM has 90 something sizes to choose from and edelbrock has only a hand full. If the book your thinking of is different than the Doug Roe book I would like the title. Thanks again for your help. Thanks 34. I left the vacuum connected. I've read in several places to keep it connected. You can adjust the spring, this is what I did. I need to re-adjust. I've got the secondaries opening to soon. Deed

Mod Racer, Where do you race? I'm finishing a car for HRP(Baytown). The first playday is this saturday. Wont be ready, I still need to weight and finish set-up. Where did you find the DA rods? Edelbrock makes rods both richer and lean than this not in between. Thanks for your help. Deed

93 I "assume" that you run a modified with the # 93. I'll make it to HRP this weekend only to time some cars and ask some questions. I did what you said with the secondaries, but like you said there is more than likely a coating on them. I've got some computerized Q-Jets and I borrowed some parts from them. Did it help? Who knows. I figured it would be better to get the right parts. Thanks for your help. I'll look for you at the track this season. Deed
