I WAS HOPEING TO GET A LITTLE ADVICE ON SOMETHING.I HAVE A 400 CHEVY & WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHAT ANYONE THINKS THE BEST CRANK WOULD BE TO USE.350 OR 400??

It depends on what what you want, a 406 or a 377. In general, the 406 will offer more torque at a lower rpm and a 377 can be made to rev quicker. For instance, if you have trouble hooking up off the corners on a dry-slick track, a 377 might help over a 406. It can build rpms quick, but come off the corner smoother because of less brute torque than a 406.

With the weight of a street stock car, however, you might want that torque potential that a 406 can make. A 377 may be more suitable to a lighter car, like a modified.

That's my take on it. Anyone else?
