Hi guys. Does anyone have any suggestions on the best way to get the proper ackerman steering on a '79 camero? "Stock Car Dirt Track Technology" by Steve Smith talks about bending the steering arms. What is the best way to do this so they are even? This is the first time we've had to change a complete front end, any help will be more than greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I have not worked on a camaro, but the whole picture is to get the steering where it is straight when the tires are turned to the right, but the way I look at it, if your car is set up correctly, you don't turn the wheel that much anyway, so you can take that element out of it somewhat by working on your setup. This is my opinion.

Your right Jammin. We almost ran out of time just getting everything put together. The only thing we did was set the caster and toe. The car ran like a champ! The driver said it felt the best it has yet. We were very competetive until the tie rod broke due to a little beating and banging. I think we had a bent part or parts in there somewhere before our last big wreck.
