On Amazon.com, you should be able to find the Doug Roe book called "Rochester Carburetors". It's a good starting point for the home builder. Above and beyond that, you'll be hard pressed to find a published batch of the cutting edge info for making any carb great on the track because carb builders rarely give away all the secrets accumulated over large amounts of time and research. We can help you, tho, but I'd prefer not to type it all out at length. It'd be better to discuss it on the phone in a step by step manner.
Feel free to call us or email me and we'll go thru things a little at a time to try and help ya out.

I think the best thing to do is to find an old dirty 305 engine in junkyard and get the carb of it. Just cleaning the dirt out of it will probably be enoung modification. This way you wont be breaking the rules. Good idea since I have to race against you.
