We have had good luck with SCAT 4340 crank. I know some may knock it because it is imported but the shop that put it together swears they are the best deal out there.

I could be wrong about the SCAT being impoorted but for some reason I thought they were forged overseas but machined here in the states... i guess that would make them sort of made in USA. But i could be mistaken on that too.

I know you would not have problems with the SCAT and I think the Dragonslayer would also be a good choice.

dirtbuster, you were wrong and right........some scat cranks are made in china but their top of the line stuff is made right here in the good old U.S. of A.

make sure to check your eagle stuff really well. They are notorious for not having the best clearences. Eagle rods for example are good product after you resize them to the correct length. You get what you pay for. There is no magic pixie dust that can make high quality parts for less money!

Eagle stuff being siaed wrong??

Is that your experience, cus ive heard this for years also, and i suppose years ago maybe there was a problem, ive had 4 cranks and ive had a part in assembling 7 sets of rods, some i beams and some h beams, so far none have been wrong or incorrectly sized....
all in the last 3 years though..

use to be everyone said degree in all cams cus they are wrong half the time also especially the off brand ones, well ive degreed over 20 offbrand cams and found none ground incorretly yet, now im sure that was true many years ago!!! can i stop cheking them???

i would allways get everything measured on any crank or aftermarket rods. any brand.

when i buy new parts they get checks over and sized up. piece of mind for me. any stock used parts i have get machined so everything that goes into my motors if up to snuff. i cant afford not to check it!!!
