Was it new oil? My car will do that if its a hard night of racing, im thinking that the oil is breaking down when it gets hot and its time for a change after changing it is fine.

I have had oil do that before somtimes it seems that if you really run it hard the presure would drop some ....after oil change would be just fine. Good luck at the races.

AC if your concerned about runnin make sure your oil filter looks good .If you don't see any signs of problems run the fresh oil and check it out.

one area that most grass roots racers overlook is an oil cooler. i've had the same problem that you have. the oil was getting so hot that it was cracking the sticker on my mobil 1 oil filter. if you have access to a pyrometer, point it at the oil pan after a feature race on a hot summer night. you'll get scared when you see how hot it is. you'd be surprised how many engine failures are a result of the oil not being able to do its job adequately because it gets too hot. overly hot oil can't maintain the correct clearances in the bearings resulting in failure. not only does the oil lubricate the engine, it also helps to cool it. an oil cooler is cheap insurance against premature bearing failure.
