Bryant is the best crank that money can buy !!! I would say Callies is the second best that money can buy . I have never seen a cracked or broken Bryant ! Bryant uses a different chromolly than any other crank manufacture , in fact it's the same chromolly that Carillo uses in there rod's . I believe it's a 4330 material of some sort , maybe 4330H , I can't remember . Callies uses an induction hardening method that makes there cranks incredibly strong too . I have also never seen a cracked or broken Callies since they went to induction hardening . You would be happy with either crank ! In fact , once you get one , you can pretty much set your gages by there precision work . Hope this helps !

I have not had any problem's with Callies crank's at all . What is the bad news your referring to ? As with any race engine , the crank shaft is not the best place to cut cost's . Callies sells some lower priced crank's , usually heavier with less finish work . But I have not heard anything bad about them .

That could be true . There is not much profit in selling Callies Crank's , or any other crank for that matter . Even as a WD like we are , the difference between jobber and WD is very slight . So your probably right about the "problem's" just being someone that's a little PO'd about the price structure .
