Fellow racers I lost a lobe on my jr,s cam
Ive got a replacement I can use speedway #1
dur.@050 244 252 lift 522 532 2750-6500 rpm
our track is already dry slick would this
be to much bottom end for the track.would
this work with 6" 355 13.3 or defeat the
long rod combo

How much timing are you running with that cam? You can take some timing out and take some of the bottom end away. We have run cams in the same size engine (around 11:1 though) with duration in the 260 - 265 range @ 50 and made less power than with a cam similar to what you described. We're turning the engine to around 7000 max (depending on how well the track bites and the car hooks up). You probably won't lose power because of the higher compression ratio, but can you live with power not coming in until a later RPM. If you go with the larger duration you may opt to advance the cam 4 degrees to broaden your powerband somewhat. Hope this info helps.
