I have some pistons and I need to know what rods they are supposed to work with. How would I go about figuring this out? Thanks.

measure the compression hieght. the distance
between the top of piston and the wrist pin
hole. then add 1/2 of the wrist pin hole(sbc
.927) then look up in a piston book or
subtract that dim from 9.000 (avg. deck
hiegth) subtract rod length and that is 1/2 stroke.

9.000 deck
1.125 compression hieght
6.00 rod
-------
1.875 this is half stoke
so 1.125 comp. piston is for a 6.0 rod 3.75
stoke
