as far as i can recall you will need all of it for it to start. the computer has to have signals back from the sensors or it will not start but if it does it will not run right.

Let me see if I understand this correctly. YOU are in the doghouse because you DON'T have a race car? Holey Schmoley, better keep her!!

on that year motor there realy insent alot of wiring , not like this new stuff boy thats is real fun working on lol.But i would leave all the engine wiring intact and remount some of the moudles out of the way. but as far as the wires that run to the headlight and tail light and any of the power acessorays inside the car, cut um out good luck and thank god u have a women that is into racing

Thanks for all the advice, and yes she loves racing,Ive been racing since 1985,and she's been right there beside me since we were maried 2 years ago,she finished 2 in the points for the woman's class last year, with my car,but now she wants her own to race with the PP and front wheel drive class at a trck near us,so far she will be the only woman in that class and the guy's in that class I think had something to do with her dicission???lol, their really great up there and encourage alot of new people to get into the sport of racing, and none of them are afraid to let a woman into their class.BUT one thing I do know, she's NOT afraid to put the hammer down!!!!thanks PPL
