If you've got a stock Holley 750 , then they will usually be 2 sizes to rich from the factory . So this would be a good place to start !

This is not a stock carb. It was reworked about 4 years ago to run on a 383. do we need to jet up for the 406?

If it ran fine on the 383 , then you will not have to change jet's to start with . I'd contact the person , or company that built the carb , and ask them for the proper jetting numbers .
