Ok..my Intrenet shopping skills bought me a set of used aluminum pulleys. I try to put them on this afternoon and they won't fit! The bolt circle on the waterpump pulley is different than the bolt circle on the waterpump or the fan--what gives? Are there different bolt patterns for sbc's? I didn't ask ---they were advertised as being for a long waterpump.

There are 2 different patterns. You had a 50% chance.

One way to fix it.....take an old waterpump, cut off the shaft that you know is the right size. Pit on top of the pulley, offset the holes so they dont hit the ones that are already on there and drill back down thru the holes of the shaft(it has a center to line it up with) and it will take care of it...had that one before when I was running street stocks. Pretty easy fix. Hope this helps.
