This may seem like a silly question but here goes.... Crankshafts for 267's, 305's and 350's all have the same dimensions and journal sizes-I've even noticed that they can have the same casting numbers. Is there any difference between these cranks? Can I use a crank from a 267 or 305 in my 350? Will the cranks hold up to RPM's of 6000-6500? Thanks in advance

They won't balance the same.

I asked this same question and Hendrens racing engines give me about the same response. Yes they will work, however you have to have it balanced. It took the benefit of it all away for me.

That is almost exactly what i asked. I wanted to use a 305 crank with lightweight 350 pistons and not have to balance it. He said I would still have to balance it so it was just money down the drain if I did it.

i have done this and seen it done many times without balancing ,it will work on real low budget ,low rpm applications without any real problems. its better to have any engine balanced if its in your budget tho.

Ive seen it work but not at high rpms the 350 crank is stronger than the 305 and 267
