Big Bird you need to tell me what class and rules you would be abiding to I have run many combonations of this for many yrs can tell you what is best some times its just not feasible though. Would you like to buy a clevor ready to run? I have some reasonably priced. thanks ford5

Ford5,
What do you have tohave for a race ready Clevor?? That include intake??
How about a race ready windsor?

I run a 3/8 mile Medium banked track that is rarely dry slick. What do you recomend?

I got their catalog about a week ago and the aussie heads aren`t listed. They carry the sportsman heads for the windsor so unless they aren`t advertising them I don`t think they have them. I would like to get a set for a backup motor.
Ford5 I run a 400 with 12.5-1 comp 351c 2v heads balanced stock bottom end. I like the combo myself I know a lot of guys aren`t wild about the 351m 400 deal But, I find them very reliable and the parts are dirt cheap. Have you ever messed with one and what results did you have?

hrspwr, call rick at towers they had 3 prs on sale last fall dont know if they sold them or not they were askin 325 a pr then. Yes i have messed with those 351ms-400 they are too nose heavy for compitetion in this area except in what we call cruiser division which is pretty much all stock you would be faster with stroker windsor get scat cast crank 385 stroke bolts rite in to windsor block stock rods 302 comp hgt piston its the way to go for you. I can get you into 1 of thoses cranks for 350$ if your interested brand new thanx ford5

Thanks ford 5, My class is pure stock and we are supposed to run a "stock" motor.Right now I am running a 77 cougar and I am high on weight. I need the tourqe I am getting out of my 400. If all goes right, next year I want to do an 88 t bird with a stroked windsor with cleveland heads.
