How many mod guys are running roller motors in comparison to flat tappets? I am still on flats, just curious. Is it helping you?

Jammin, my engine designer made me go full roller this coming year he says it will give better throttle response on takeoff and especially coming off the corners

Jammin, we have ran rollers for last 3 yrs here. there is no reasonable claim and i dont think you can compete as well without itit definently makes a difference and i have never had one wear out yet!

I like mine. They last alot longer and you can change them without pulling the intake if you get the lifters with the springs. Plus being able to run a more agressive ramp profile it builds better cylinder pressure.

There are numerous advantages to rollers as has been mentioned above. Some people that don't fully understand how a roller cam works argue that the benefits are hardly noticable because the friction savings is so insignificant and so on, but the main benefit and very significant difference is the fact that with even the same exact specs and numbers between a flat tappet and a roller, the roller can make more power because of the much more aggressive ramp profile which opens the valve in a hurry and waits longer to close it faster all with the same lift and duration.
