OK PUT ON THE NEW DEMON CARB AND IT SEAMED FINE RAN HOT LAPS THEN ADJUSTED IT JUST A HAIR. NOW HAVING ALL KINDS OF TROUBLE. I HAVE UNDONE ALL ADJUSTMENT AND IT STILL DOES IT. I FOUND SOME DIRT IN THE FUEL BOWELS.
WHEN I START IT I NOW HAVE TO HOLD IT WIDE OPEN AND THEN WHEN IT STARTS AFTER ABOUT 1-2 SECONDS A HUGE FIREBALL POPS BACK OUT. I ADJUSTED THE TIMING BUT NO CHANGE. WHAT COULD BE THE CAUSE?

the float could be stuck or need adjusting

If you have dirt in your bowls, I would say some of it is stuck in one of your needle&seats. Pull the sight plugs on the side & find out if it is front or rear. Then pull the needle out the top & clean it.

It definitely sounds like something in a seat. Did you make any new fuel lines lately? Usually when I make new hoses I end up with trash in one of the seats because of a sliver of rubber I didn't get washed out of the hose. Also on my Holley HP if the air cleaner stud is not in it has a major vacuum leak and runs like crap. I'm not sure if yours might be like that.
