I have one more race day this year on our mile gravel semi banked tack in my 81buick regal that I have loved. The car was good to me with 27 wins with 9 shut outs that felt good being a rookie and all.
I was given a 82 Buick Riviera for next year that I will have to start from scratch.
I need help?
I need to know what springs to use???
And any thing else you can think? I boot my last car already set up and I am at a loss. I did to well this year and every one at the track tells me I do not need help. That what I get ( NO?).

Why get rid of the car you have? If it aint broke dont fix it.

I lost an axel and rolled over three times and did a good one to cage and body. I reinforced cage and hammered body but it is hashed.

Our track allows the lower R A-arm to be lengthened One inch. My Question is to what extent will this affect my spring ?

I would stay away from the Riv. They are bigger and heavier than a metric car. But hey this is just me talking. You need a car and its available, you do what you need to.

Aren't Riviera's front wheel drive??
Take the springs you have now to a local race shop and have them test your current springs to find the spring rates or just use those springs. You might want to get ahold of the guy you bought the car from and ask him on the setup

Why not find another metric frame car? - they are a dime a dozen. Everything that you can salvage from your current car should interchange. That way you can swap over your springs, shocks, etc. and have the same set up that you have now.

Yes I have came to the point like misstwenty sead I will hang new skin on my car. I live on an I land so body parts (any part) is hard to come by. Hear if you find a car and it is not rusted out then it is the right car.
